Oracle JDK 17 compatibility with EPM Agent and Microsoft SQL Server

Summary:

Our integration from Microsoft SQL server 12 to EPM Planning is failing after we upgraded to jdk-17.0.18. We were originally on jre1.8.0_471.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

I have updated the .jar file referenced in the agentparams.ini file, and also reverted back to the original .jar file, but the job still fails with JDK 17.

The EPM agent starts but the handshake to the SQL environment is failing.

I run the integration directly from Data Exchange.

When re-installing Java 8, all jobs are successful.

With Java 17 installed, the error returned by the Agent is:

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "SQL Server did not return a response.
