legacy asset conversion

Summary:

We are converting legacy asset data in Oracle using MassAdditions FBDI. In the legacy system, customer follows Current Month convention but in Oracle, Following Month convention will be followed. We have received asset balances as of Mar-26 (depreciation was run in the legacy system in Mar-26) and hence, we are loading assets in Oracle in Apr-26. In Oracle, we are using STL depreciation method.

  1. Should the following fields be populated? If yes, then with what values?

Amortize

 Amortization Start Date

 2. Few assets in the legacy system have in service date Dec-25. Depreciation has been calculated for Dec-25 and the 3 months in 2026. Hence, in the legacy system, YTD depreciation (for 3 months in 2026) and accumulated depreciation (total of 4 months depreciation) balances are different. However, when loading these assets in Oracle in Apr-26, Post Mass Additions is rejecting these assets with reason 'The life-to-date depreciation and year-to-date depreciation must be the same.'

Howdy, Stranger!
