Moving Average in Forecasting Parameters – Demand Management

In Oracle Fusion Cloud Demand Management is there a way to validate or check how the moving average method works within forecasting parameters? We understand that this can be achieved by creating a custom measure with an expression for moving average. However, we are curious to know if the forecasting engine itself can natively generate forecasts using a moving average method without custom measures. Any guidance on configuration, validation steps, or best practices would be helpful.
