Backlog Management does not honor manual SSD override on Sales Orders

We are currently implementing Order Management, Global Order Promising and Backlog Management. The requirement we are trying to fulfill is that when SSD is manually overridden on the fulfillment line in Order Management, that the plan in backlog management honors this date and does not replan it. What we are currently seeing is that during collections and plan run, the date is flowing correctly from Order Management to Backlog Management, however upon release of the plan, the dates are automatically adjusting in BM and OM. Is there a way to make backlog management adhere to the manual overrides given on
