For S&OP Plan why does Plan refers to the item category associated to the Plan instead of BOR.

Summary:

Hi Team,

For S&OP Plan, we are attaching an item category that has around 0.2million Records.

For the Same Plan we are using BOR which is system generated and has very less count around 70k due to items flagged as critical component.

If an S&OP plan is having BOR attached why the preference is given to Item Category attached, it should ideally be considering only BOR??

As plan is considering item category it is causing the plan to fail due to data combination reaching its maximum limit.

Currently we are having a separate category created for all critical items to fix the plan run issue, but is there any alternative solution to avoid this and use BOR directly??
