Prevent supplier notifications after re-enabling a previously expired Agreement

Summary:

An agreement had expired but was still required so an extension was added. This caused a notification to be issued to the supplier saying that an agreement had been set up. This caused confusion as they, rightly, thought that the existing one was still in effect.

Is there anything we can configure that prevents agreements that had previously expired from communicating to the supplier once the agreement has been extended?
