Backorder Not Triggered for Split Lines After Pick Release in Pick Wave

Summary:

We have configured the system so that reservation occurs during Pick Wave execution. As expected, inventory splits are created on the shipment lines. However, we would like the system to automatically send to backorder any lines that remain with the following warning: 

"Unreserved Line not interfaced to external system. Check available quantity" 

Our expectation is that any line remaining in warning status should be sent back to Order Management (OM) as a backorder. 

Currently, we are able to send these lines to backorder by generating a Pick Release specifically for those lines. However, this approach does not work consistently across all scenarios.
