Default type is SQL , query under DFF not working in Redwood pages

Our customer is looking to default DFF value in Redwood pages .As of now we have managed to default under valueset but customer's ask is to deafukt automatically without user has to select from value set the value populating.

Description (Required):

If we want to default a DFF based on the earlier dff so using action Default type = SQL under DFF is not working in Redwood pages.
