1. Business Requirement / Problem Description

Our client utilizes a 3rd party biometric system for time collection and a separate 3rd party application for Payroll processing. Oracle Fusion Time and Labor (OTL) acts as the central hub.

  • Data Flow: 3rd Party Device —> REST API —> Oracle Fusion —> BI Report —> 3rd Party Payroll.
  • The Gap: We need to capture the specific Workstation/Branch Location for every "In" and "Out" event. An employee may move between multiple locations (e.g., Location A, Location B) within a single shift.
  • Current Constraint: We have found no available Descriptive Flexfields (DFF) at the time entry level that can be mapped via REST to store these location strings.
