observing inconsistent behavior while sending emails in OTM.

Setup Details:

  • Document: VSD.SPAIN_IMPORT_TAXES_REPORT
  • Delivery Method: Email
  • Triggered via: Data Query + Custom Event + Custom Agent (for controlled testing)

Observed Behavior:

We tested multiple scenarios with recipient configuration:

  1. Single email (individual contact):
    • Email is received successfully.
  2. Contact Group with only one email:
    • Email is received successfully.
  3. Contact Group with multiple emails (e.g., User A + User B):
    • Email delivery is inconsistent:
      • In some cases, one user receives the email while the other does not.
      • Mail audit logs show failure for one recipient, but not consistently the same one.
  4. Recreating the Contact Group and re-adding emails:
    • Behavior changes (sometimes a different recipient fails).
