updating the visibility of EFFs created via Manage Extensible Flexfields in VB studio

I created a EFF through Manage extensible flex field in fusion. After that the EFF is appearing in info group dropdown on Additional person info page. I am trying to edit it in visual builder as i want to hide this EFF if the country of the logged in user is United States. But when i toggle it to Hidden in VB studio express mode, the blue dot which signifies that property is overridden doesn't appear and also as soon as i come out of the screen it changes to default that is starts showing (dash) in the visibility option.
