FA – Asset Category Flexfield (CAT#): Can Structure Instance Be Selected at Category Level?

I am looking for clarity on the intended use of structure instances for the Asset Category Key Flexfield (CAT#) in Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets, particularly in relation to System Controls and category creation.

Current Observations

1. Asset Category Flexfield (CAT#) allows:
   • Only one structure
   • Potentially multiple structure instances
2. At Asset Category creation, there is:
   • No option to select or associate a structure instance
   • Categories are always created using the single defined structure
3. In Manage System Controls (Fixed Assets):
   • We explicitly select the Category Flexfield Structure
   • There is no option to select a structure instance
   • The system appears to be driven only by the
