Awarding FSEOG in Summer 2026

We have excess FSEOG funds and would like to award them in summer. We tried upping the annual limit to $6000 and taking away a student's spring FSEOG, but neither were successful in awarding for summer.

Has any other school done this before? Are there internal mechanisms in SFA that prevent schools from awarding FSEOG for summer? Is there a way to circumvent those mechanisms? Does federal guidance prevent us from doing so?
