Item Revision Sync Between Master and Child Orgs

Summary:

We have a use case in an implementation where the customer wants the child org revision numbers to be synced from the master organization item. Since all org items are individual objects and operational attribute controls do not include Item Revision to be set at the Master/Org level, what strategy can be used to achieve this?
