VBS Customisations on absence pages not reflecting on inital page load

Summary

Post 26A the BID for Absence appear on absence pages. Although we have attempted to hide it using Visual Builder Studio (VBS), the customizations don’t take effect on the initial page load.

Observed behaviour

• VBS changes are not applied when the page first loads.
• If a user clicks into any field and then navigates back to the page, the VBS customizations suddenly take effect.
• This behaviour impacts multiple VBS changes, including:
  • Hiding UI properties
  • Adding page-level features such as a Guided Journey

Have any other customers experienced this issue with VBS customizations on absences pages? If so, were you able to identify a workaround or long‑term resolution?
