work definition adfdi not working for future enabled version

Summary:

While ADFDI shows past, present and future version , but only current version is enabled for update.

We have large number of work definitions getting enabled on some future date and we want to make changes in that now. Is adfdi capable of handling this or we need to make use of FBDI
