Parent expression in Converter giving blank value while evaluating it right

Summary:

We are adding a node in 1 viewpoint and updating a property there whose value will be used to determine the parent to add the same node in another hierarchy within the same application.

We are then using this property value in converter parent transform expression of subscription. Evaluation is giving correct value. But when we submit the request and subscription is triggered, it is adding this node above top node and parent is coming blank.

Why the parent is blank when it is calculating correct value in expression evaluation of the transform expression in converter?
