Send FYI notification to a shared mailbox

Summary:

We are looking at sending an FYI notification to a shared mailbox when creating or updating position. Currently, these notifications are sent based on AOR and we needed to create a user role with create and update position privileges so the recipients will be able to see the position details.

We are thinking of creating a user with this shared mailbox then assign the user role. The approval rule will also be updated to add this user as FYI only.

Does the user need to have an employee profile? If so, can we use non-worker instead of employee?

Will there be any issues with this approach?
