We are currently facing a significant performance challenge in our FCCS application after integrating with EPCM for allocation processing, and I’m looking for guidance on optimization strategies or best practices.
Scenario Overview:
- We send unallocated Actuals (Net Income) data from FCCS to EPCM. EPCM performs allocations and allocated data is then pushed back into FCCS
- Observation:
- Application Snapshot Size
- Pre-allocation: ~12 GB
- Post-allocation: ~65 GB
- Record Volume
- Sent from FCCS (unallocated): ~295K records
- Returned from EPCM (allocated): ~13.3M records
- Consolidation Time
- Pre-allocation: ~30 minutes per period
- Post-allocation: 2+ hours per period
