What is the relevance of different currency dimension members for ownership data using smartview?

Summary:

We use FCCS smartview to see ownership data. For currency dimension, we always used "No currency". Today, just out of curiosity, I used different currency dimension members ("Entity Currency", "Parent Currency", "Input Curency" etc) and got the exact same results for ownership %, consolidation method . How is that possible? How different members can have same value? What is the logic behind it? Internal Audit Team of client is also having the same question.
