Oracle CPQ to Salesforce v8.11 Upgrade – Handling Missing PricebookEntryId for Existing Quotes

Summary:

We’re currently using Oracle CPQ with the Salesforce managed package v7.2 and are planning an upgrade to v8.11. In our existing setup, we don’t actively use price books in CPQ. Instead, Salesforce creates a dummy Pricebook Entry via a Flow, and this information is not sent back to CPQ. As a result, existing quotes (both in-progress and closed) do not have a PricebookEntryId stored on their line items.

With v8.11, the managed package requires a PricebookEntryId to be included in the line item export, and it must be specific to the quote’s currency.
