Project Process Configurator(PPC) not working as expected

I'm trying to get the revenue event generated based on the revenue method defined using project process configurator but it didn't work as expected.

Below are the details -

Defined project process configurator(PPC) for project revenue, assigned to the revenue method then associated it to the contract line (there is only contract line 1 - free form). The revenue method was updated on the existing contracts by amending the contract. The automatic events got generated for 2 contracts out of 161 contracts. Please assist as this is impacting April month end close.

All these contracts are award contracts. Additionally, I would like to understand if contract status is expired but we are doing retroactive amendment, would it cause PPC to not work?
