Extending Geography Structure (Country/State to City/Postal Code) – Impact on ERP and ISO Code Type

Hi Community,

We are currently working on an Oracle Cloud HCM implementation and have encountered a geography configuration challenge that involves both HCM and ERP modules. We would appreciate any guidance or insights from the community.

--- CONTEXT ---

At the moment, the geography structure is defined with Country and State levels only. This structure is already being used by ERP, particularly for supplier address management.

From the HCM side, there is a requirement (due to Argentina's legal needs) to extend the structure to include City and Postal Code levels.

Additionally, we have identified that the current configuration is based on the ISO country code, and it is important for us to maintain this same code type in order to preserve the existing names and codes already configured, thus avoiding a significant impact on ERP.
