Unable to delete assignment in case of wrong effective date entered and Primary flag check isblocked

Hi Team,

While processing an Internal Transfer action, the user mistakenly entered an incorrect effective start date of 13-Jan-2026 instead of 5-Dec-2025.

After realizing the error, the user, End-dated the incorrect assignment (13-Jan-2026) and add an assignment with the correct effective date (5-Dec-2025)

However, when attempting to end-date the previous assignment, the system throws the following error:

"You can't end this assignment because it has future actions. Delete the future-dated records before ending the assignment. (PER-1531079)"

Could you please advise if there is a way to:

Delete or correct the incorrect future-dated transaction, and
Ensure that only one active assignment remains effective from 5-Dec-2025?
