Help with SQL statement in Planning Integration

Summary: I have an SQL statement in a Planning Integration that was written years ago by a consultant that I need to update. In one of the columns of data I am trying to load I have blanks which I want the integration to replace with NonExempt. I added a couple lines to the SQL statement (see screenshot) but it doesn't do the replace. I also tried != and <> 'Yes' but that didn't seem to work either. Thanks in advance.
