Fusion IAM Upgrade Now logs out IdP browser session
We just had our IAM upgrade, and our users are complaining about the Idle session timeout.
Fact: Once authenticated, the token your user session receives as a cookie in your browser is valid for 8 hours and does not need to be renewed.
Previous behavior: The Fusion session would timeout after 30 minutes of no requests, and the user would need to click a button to reauthenticate in Fusion Apps. This does not affect other browser applications using the same IdP session cookie, and the user remains logged in to the IdP
New behavior: The Fusion session would timeout after 30 minutes of no requests, and the IdP session is logged out immediately, requiring the user to log back in to the IdP. This also logs out any other applications using the same IdP session cookie. Further, if the user is not using the browser session but is actively using an app like SmartView, they are logged out after 30 minutes (report not confirmed). This is very disruptive.
