Reasons not to enable Position Syng

in Human Capital Management

Our org has apprx 1500 employees, and Position Sync is currently disabled. Fields such as Location and Manager are expected to remain aligned between the Position and Assignment records, so updates currently need to be made in both places. Because of this, we are considering enabling Position Synchronization for Location and Manager fields.

Can you advise on:

  1. Potential downsides of enabling this feature?
  2. Whether the setup below is appropriate for our intended use case? I want to ensure no other fields are affected.
  3. What would make you decide to check "Allow Override at Assignment" option?
