Are project templates expected to be collected in Collect Planning Data process?

Summary:

We are using Planning Attributes (Project/Task) in Supply Planning, and during data collection from OPS, some project templates are being collected and result in the following error.

"You must provide a valid value for the ATTRIBUTE1_VALUE attribute."

However, other project templates are not collected and do not result in errors, which seems to be the expected behavior.

My understanding is that project templates are not intended to be collected as Planning Attributes, but I could not find clear documentation about this.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Are project templates expected to be included in Planning data collections?
