Rule within an Item class where names of Service Items begin with S and of Inventory Item with I

Hi All.. I'm trying to create a rule within an Item class where names of Service Items begin with S and that of Inventory Item begin with I. Is it possible within an Item class using templates or should I use 2 Item classes to achieve this?
