Time Card Error - Can't Reopen Timecard Due to Compensatory Time Earned
Has anyone experienced this before? This time card error when trying to reopen a retro TC: "Couldn't save the time card", "An adjustment can't be made for the compensatory time transaction because the hours have already been used for an existing absence."
We believe this error is caused because we are trying to reopen a retro TC where CTO (Compensatory Time) was earned, but what was earned there is already being used up by an approved future CTO (Compensatory Time Off) absence. The workaround for this is for us to temporarily withdraw the future CTO absence(s), then reopen/reprocess the retro TC, then put the withdrawn future CTO absences back in. This isn't feasible. Curious if others have encountered this too and wonder how they've handled it?
