Deter Termination Date from defaulting from Notification Date

We are migrating to Redwood Terminate Employment and noticed the Termination Date auto-populates based on Notification Date. Is there a way to prevent this? We would prefer to have the field be blank and users and manually select the appropriate date. Is this possible in VBS? We are currently on 25B.
