Why does the factor on an absence plan change to zero when the plan has an amount provided?

In the middle of pay processing we are finding random issues with the factor on a plan changing to zero. The plan has a set up for factor already provided but is changing to zero causing zero pay for that plan for that bi-weekly pay.
