Currency Precision and Decimal Places in Oracle Fusion Transactions
Summary:
Hi Oracle Community,
We have a client inquiry regarding currency conversion rounding in Oracle Fusion Procurement and Payables.
Example:
- Requisition Amount: PHP 10,000.00
- Exchange Rate: 60 PHP/USD
- Converted PO Amount: USD 166.67
The actual calculation is:
PHP 10,000.00 ÷ 60 = USD 166.666666...
Since USD is rounded to 2 decimal places, the transaction amount becomes USD 166.67. When converting the amount back to PHP, it results in PHP 10,000.20, creating a small rounding variance.
We understand that this is expected behavior due to currency precision and rounding rules. However, we would like to confirm the following:
- Is there any standard Oracle Fusion profile option, setup, or configuration that allows transaction amounts (e.g., PR, PO, AP Invoice, Payment) in a currency such as USD to be stored or displayed with more than the standard 2 decimal places?
