Visual Builder - Create two rules/Condition for the same field?

Summary:

On the Terminate Employment page, we created a rule to set the termination date to null so it wouldn’t default to the notification date. We also added a validation rule to prevent selecting a termination date more than 30 days out. However, it appears the two rules can’t work together. If I remove the null default, the 30‑day validation triggers correctly. But when I add the null default back, the 30‑day validation no longer fires. Is there an alternative approach, or is this simply not supported?
