Is there a way to query the Name property that has a special character in it? IE. Dash

Summary:

Users want that ability to search for a partial name in the entity dimension. Leaf level members have all numeric Company-Center (right 5 digits). Using the query and Contains function within EDMCS appears to not let me search for just the center. I suspect its because of the dash. Is there a way around this?
