AI in PPM – Clarification on Metrics, Data Requirements, and Insights

Summary:

We are currently testing AI capabilities in Oracle PPM (Project Program Analysis and Action Plans) and would appreciate clarification on a few areas:

1. Metrics & Indices

How are key metrics such as SPI, cost/performance indices, and completion rates calculated? Are these metrics aligned with standard PPM logic, or are they derived using AI-specific methodologies?

2. Financial Outputs

Some values (e.g., budget consumption, forecasts) appear as 0.

• What data inputs (e.g., actuals, forecasts, EAC/ETC) are required, and where should they be populated in the system to ensure these values are correctly calculated?”
• When would the system return zero values?
