how to extend incentive compensation plan component dates

We have a IC plan with start date as 01-Jan-2017 and no end date.

In this plan, Plan Components and Performance measures are having start date as 01-Jan-2017 and end date as 31-Dec-2025.

We have observed that, this plan was created on 1-Jan-2017 and since the end date of Plan components has been extended to next year.

When we try to change the plan component dates it throws the error:

You must enter a compensation plan start date that's on or before the plan component start date of . (CN-1575220)

how to extend the plan components end date to 31-Dec-2026?
