Why does LPN status changes from Located to received when I move partial qnty from reserve to active

When I move a partial quantity from LPN to active inventory. the status of the LPN moves from LOCATED to RECEIVED.

Is their anyway I can control the LPN status to remain in the LOCATED status.

What is the reason behin this functionality.

What I think is that the system believes that for partial quantity the user has taken the box (LPN) down from top shelf and taken some partial quantity and forget to replace the box back to its original location (Top Shelf) so to avoid this mistakes system changes the status to RECEIVED, so now the user has to provide the location again.
