How to improve the performance of SmartView to display EssBase balances

We are working to improve the performance of a Excel tool with SmartView to retrieve ERP GL balances. We would appreciate any feedback on our approach or any advice you might have.

(Objectives)

  •  Outputting the ending balances on the EssBase based on the combinations of accounting periods and AFF values ​​selected by the user.
  •  For example, if the user selects 2 accounting periods, 10 values ​​for AFF Segment 2, 50 values ​​for AFF Segment 3, and 1 value each for the other AFF segments, the tool should output balances for 10,000 combinations.

(Our Design)

  •  Create a SmartView workbook with two sheets: Sheet 1 for parameter selection and Sheet 2 for outputting balances.
