Summary:
OTBI Fixed Asset Register – YTD Depreciation Excluding Adjustments vs Asset Inquiry (UI)
Hello everyone,
I would like to seek advice regarding Oracle Fixed Assets.
We have identified a discrepancy in YTD Depreciation between the OTBI report (Fixed Asset Register) and the Asset Inquiry (UI), as shown below:
Sample Data:
- YTD Depreciation (OTBI) = 528.37
- YTD Depreciation (Asset Inquiry UI) = 616.43
- Adjustment amount = 88.06
Observation: 528.37 + 88.06 = 616.43
This matches the value displayed in the Asset Inquiry UI.
Analysis:
- OTBI appears to retrieve YTD Depreciation from FA_DEPRN_SUMMARY only
- Asset Inquiry (UI) seems to include Adjustment amounts (e.g., Cost Adjustment / Reserve Adjustment) in the YTD Depreciation calculation
