User-defined navigation menu in Redwood -- broken links?

Summary:

User-defined navigation menu custom links break in Redwood…?

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We have some user-defined menu navigation links in Jet. When they come to Redwood, the UI prepends the site URL on them, thereby breaking them. The same links work fine in Jet menus within CPQ.

I mentioned this in an SR 4-0003220411, and was told that there is no way to not have the site URL prepended in Redwood. This is fine for URLs within CPQ (such as relative URL shortcuts for Admins, or even users) but if I wanted to have an external link to anywhere on the web, or to an intranet site with job aids, there is no way to do that.
