Accessing OIC VBCS App via OAUTH or Basic Auth

in SCM Integrations

I want to lock down access to a particular vbcs app to use OAUTH or basic auth. I am not quite sure how to remove anonymous access to the app and allowing the bearer token to act as a logged in user.

If I uncheck the anonymous box on the service connection, it is showing 401 even though I have a valid bearer token to access VBCS via oauth.
