Revoke Share Data Access Issue - Stuck Process

edited Jul 23, 2026 2:28PM in Human Capital Management 1 comment

Summary:

Revoke action on share data access seems to work only if we do not restrict the visibility, even if the share data works correctly.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We're experiencing an issue with Share Data Access.
Granting access to an employee's data works as expected. However, when we try to revoke that access, the process never completes and remains stuck in a loading state indefinitely.

We identified the Custom Role and Data Policy used by the Share Data Access process (Data Resource: Person Detail, Privilege: Share Personal) and found that it has an associated condition. When the condition restricts data visibility (as in our case), the issue occurs consistently: access can be granted, but the revoke action never completes. If we change the condition to All Values, the revoke works correctly. However, this also allows Share Data Access to be performed for all employees, not just those within the intended visibility scope.
