One of our accounting teams has asked us to look into whether the functionality of Schedule Items in Blackline exists in ARCS. The example they gave was below, where they use Schedule Items to track all activity that has occurred for each of their individual bond instruments. The face of the Schedule Item shows the current balance of the bond instrument, and then you can drill into the item to see all of the activity from inception.
From what I've been able to determine, they would be able to do either 1) input the ending balances of each debt instrument that exists in the GLA at the end of the period, or 2) input all the activity since inception of the debt instrument and roll these balance explanations each period. But they wouldn't be able to do both. Wanted to ask to see if that was correct or if others found similar functionality when migrating from Blackline to ARCS.
