True zero in Entity Currency translating to a small residual value in USD Reporting currency

edited Aug 4, 2026 6:31AM in Financial Consolidation and Close 3 comments

Summary:

We have a balance sheet account that is a true zero in Entity Currency (GBP), but after translation the same intersection shows a small non-zero residual in USD Reporting currency (e.g. 0.000000007). Trying to understand what causes this and the recommended way to prevent or clean up these residuals

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

- In Entity Currency (GBP), the account value is a true zero (0.000000000000).

- In USD Reporting for the same period/POV, the value is a tiny non-zero residual (approx 0.000000007) instead of zero.

- Screenshot attached showing the GBP vs USD reporting
