Alternatives to the OOTB Consolidation Journals Report for Large Data Volumes

Summary:

We're currently facing a performance issue with the out-of-the-box Consolidation Journals Report in Oracle FCC and wanted to see if anyone has encountered something similar or found a good workaround.

Our client has a very high journal volume each period - typically over 150,000 journal lines. As a result, the OOTB Consolidation Journals Report takes close to an hour to generate and, in some cases, times out for certain users before the export completes.

A few questions for the community:

  1. Has anyone found a way to improve the performance of the standard Consolidation Journals Report for high-volume environments?
  2. Is there an alternative approach to extract similar journal information (with comparable columns and formatting details) other than using the OOTB report? For example, through Data Exchange, EPM Automate, REST APIs, Smart View, or any other method.
