Would Hourly Create Cost Accounting Distributions Run Help Reduce WIP Cost Adjustment Variances?

We are seeing significant WIP Product Cost Adjustment variances at our site (org).

Currently, the cost processing job (Create Cost Accounting Distributions) runs every 3 hours. We suspect that the processing gap may allow pallets to be transferred out of an org, before the actual cost is finalized, resulting in cost adjustments that cannot be applied to the inventory and ultimately contributing to the WIP variance.

For example, item 510000 / WO 100000 resulted in approximately $17K in WIP adjustments, while a previous work order (WO 1000001) resulted in a $44K adjustment.

We are considering increasing the processing frequency from every 3 hours to hourly
