Tailor Oracle Learning Notifications with Notification Patterns

Use Notification Pattern to classify a learning item so that the Oracle Learning Resource Alerts you configure can send the right message for that learning purpose.

For example, you can use a direct, due-date-focused message for compliance learning and a more encouraging message for developmental learning—without creating duplicate learning items or asking catalog managers to choose a notification template for every assignment.

Important: Notification Pattern is a classification, not a notification. It exists because Flexfield segments can not be used as filters in resource alerts.  It doesn't contain message content and it doesn't independently send, stop, or recall notifications. Your Resource Alert configuration determines what is sent.
