What does the "a" signify in a post 26C DEV/UAT Update?

Summary:

Our Prod drop for 26C is this coming Friday & we completed our testing already last week.

But now Oracle dropped another update over the weekend :(

Previous to the weekend update, the weekly patch version said

26.3.1-20260807 but now it says

26.3.1-20260807a

So what does this "a" signify ?

We do not know whether we need to redo our testing. The announcement emails do not say anything about what this update is for.
