Always Free A1 instance disabled — request re-enable to resize to 2 OCPU / 12 GB

Hello Oracle Community,

I need assistance with an Oracle Cloud Always Free VM.Standard.A1.Flex instance that was automatically disabled following the new Always Free Ampere A1 resource limits effective August 18, 2026.

My instance details are:

  • Shape: VM.Standard.A1.Flex
  • Current configuration: 3 OCPUs / 18 GB RAM
  • Region: eu-madrid-1 (Madrid)
  • Availability Domain: AD-1
  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04 AArch64
  • Tenancy: raimartinezbravo17

The instance is currently disabled and OCI does not allow me to perform any actions on it.

I understand that the new Always Free limit is 2 OCPUs and 12 GB RAM. I am completely willing to comply with these limits.

The problem is that because the instance has already been disabled, I cannot resize it myself. I only need Oracle to re-enable the existing instance so that I can immediately change it from 3 OCPUs / 18 GB RAM to 2 OCPUs / 12 GB RAM.

Howdy, Stranger!
